The Ellis County Art Association was
established in 1958. ECAA
opened the Fine Arts Museum in 1979. The Building was formerly the
First Presbyterian Church on West Main Street in Waxahachie,
Texas. The church was organized on November 19,1871 and the
present structure was built in 1916. The building was designated
an historical site in 1997.
The Ellis County Fine Arts Museum, ECAA,
provides many programs, services and activities each year in an
effort to better educate people of all ages about the visual arts
and to ignite a passion for artistic endeavors in the minds of
everyone.
