The
Haunted Restaurant . . .4 Stars
We don’t know what the ghosts that inhabit Catfish Plantation were having for The side dishes were more than adequate in size. The broccoli/cheese/rice casserole was outstanding. This casserole had the right amount of everything it is supposed to have. My companion compared his butter beans to what his Mom used to make, in other words, scrumptious. The creamed spinach was okay but not outstanding. It was a little runny and needed some zing. Each plate was served with a couple of hush puppies. The restaurant has a long list of side dishes so there is something for everyone.
Talking with nearby diners, we learned they come for the fried sweet potatoes, a famous appetizer at the Catfish Plantation. The sweet potatoes are dipped in a cinnamon-sugar batter and fried. They are served with a side dip. All in all, this restaurant is very pleasant with exceptionally attentive service where two people can eat well for under $30.
